We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is mechanically inclined and demonstrates good attention to detail to join our manufacturing team as a Press Operator. You will operate heavy duty power press to bend, form, stretch, and straighten metal plates, metal extrusions, and form sheet metal. This position is a great way to start your career in manufacturing.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or 1 year on the job experience in manufacturing or quality role. Must be able to work with calipers and micrometers. Must be computer literate with some experience with ME Excel and MS Word.
Responsibilities:
- Production insertion / retention testing
- Compiling test data into appropriate spreadsheets for customers
- Processing cross section samples
- Compiling daily SPC data into appropriate spreadsheets
- Assist in the First Article process including:
- Generate ballooned drawing and FAI forms for die makers
- Transferring data from die makers FAI sheets into spreadsheets for customers
- Measuring FAI samples and compiling data into spreadsheets
- Measuring and record readings from production samples.
- Random in-process inspections on production product.
- Processing ballooned drawings for First Piece and in-process inspections
- Processing IMRs and customer RMAs.
- Inspecting and verifying Internal Material Rejections (IMR’s). Completing paperwork as needed.
- Assist in responding to customer complaints by locating retain samples, measuring to verify problem, and notifying appropriate NSP personnel.
- Assist with Product/Process Audits, and Internal Audits.
